Presenting Suvana to an audience of 600
Over a five day convention in Norfolk at the end of August 2026, a group of Suvana cocreators presented the project to over 600 members of the Triratna Buddhist Order.

The group were some of the Order Members who are involved in the cohousing project. We worked at the event to raise its profile and help more people picture themselves living in the Buddhism-based cohousing community we're building.
What did we get up to?
Talked with lots of people at our market stall throughout the week — which had six large display panels and lots of printed materials
Ran two fringe presentation events, reaching 17 people
Led an Open Space session with 20 participants
Our chair Tejasvini presented and was on a panel in the main session on the Convention's biggest day
In a special Buddhist ritual, nine of us together offered plants to the shrine — as a symbol of Suvana's growth, and of planting a ‘garden in a wilderness’.

Deepening Suvana’s visibility
The exposure Suvana received at this biggest ever gathering of Triratna Order Members in the west, and the enthusiastic response and gratitude we heard, were warmly welcomed and very helpful. Thank you to everyone who shared in the excitement.
The five Order Member cocreators were part of the whole Convention too — not just leading the Suvana activities. We connected with old and new friends, soaked up a brilliant few days, and felt the pull of what we're building: a pioneering project to express the Dharma in everyday life.
