Introducing ourselves to the site
In a beautiful ritual complete with Spitfire flypast, many community members and supporters from across the country came together to celebrate the land on which our future homes are to be built.
A moment we've all been waiting for!
On 18th March 2026, Greater Cambridge Shared Planning gave permission to TOWN and Hill Group to develop the Suvana Cohousing community and the new neighbourhood at Northstowe.
This is the most significant milestone so far - congratulations to all concerned!
Reservations are open
The Suvana Coordination Group launched the ‘rolling submissions round’ where cocreators are invited to apply to reserve one of the remaining homes.
15 plots were reserved immediately!
Planning is in!
TOWN - with their partners Hill Group, Homes England, Mole Architects and others - submitted a planning application to Greater Cambridge Shared Planning for the development that includes our community.
And Suvana launched the Joining Pack for potential buyers, inviting cocreators to apply to become part of the community.
2025: Suvana’s busiest and most exciting year

Public consultation at Northstowe
Suvana cocreators attended the public consultation by TOWN and Mole on their future Northstowe neighbourhood. It was a chance to connect with future neighbours, view proposals, and enjoy some free ice cream.
Cocreators connecting
The community got together in Cambridge on Sunday 29th June, when 24 cocreators socialised, played games and worked together.
Shaping a dream together
An inspiring day of co-design brought Suvana residents and partners together to shape plans for our future homes and shared spaces.
Codesign continues online
On 24th February 2025, we had our first online co-design workshop, where we discussed the common house plans with TOWN and Mole.
