A moment we've all been waiting for!
On 18 March 2026, Greater Cambridge Shared Planning gave consent to TOWN and Hill Group to develop the new neighbourhood at Northstowe — including the Suvana Cohousing community.
This is the most significant milestone so far — congratulations to the teams at TOWN, Hill and Mole, and our cocreators.
What does this mean in practice?
Hill has the green light to commence construction on site.
With TOWN's help, Suvana needs to attract more potential community members who are able to reserve a property.
Those of us who have already reserved a Suvana property can continue to strengthen our community-building work through a series of working groups.
All being well, Hill intends to start work on site in July 2026, and our block (B) is first. Some of the Suvana homes will be ready to move into as early as May next year, with the common house/apartment block scheduled to complete in early December 2027.
